| GESS Choir trains to learn a range of music repertoire as well as musical techniques and explore a wide range of genres and styles within choral literature. The members prepare to perform at school-based and external performances and competitions, such that they develop performance confidence, poise and etiquette. In 2022, GESS Choir performed during the school’s Aesthetics Week, the National Day Concert and the GESS Open House. We are now training to put up a magnificent performance at the 2023 Singapore Youth Festival (SYF), after attaining a Special Award in the 2021 SYFAs part of our training, our CCA conducts the following: ● Physical and Vocal Training for singing ● Training for coordinated breathing, vowel formation, tonal placement and diction for skilful vocal production ● Learning to read music scores and basic music theory ● Annual Choir Camps ● Exposure to Choral performance ● Choral Workshops ● End-of-Year Performance |
