Geographical Investigation at Merlion Park
Our Secondary 3 Pure Geography students recently embarked on an exciting Geographical Investigation at Merlion Park!
Through this hands-on fieldwork experience, students applied a variety of geographical investigation methods, including conducting land use surveys, pedestrian counts, crafting survey questions, and interviewing tourists. Beyond developing their inquiry and data collection skills, the experience also encouraged meaningful collaboration as students worked together to delegate responsibilities and support one another throughout the investigation.
Most importantly, the fieldwork provided students with valuable opportunities to build their confidence in communicating with members of the public while deepening their understanding of real-world geographical concepts beyond the classroom.
