In line with our mission, the GESS Humanities Department organises and conducts learning journeys for our students developed through a comprehensive approach in the conceptualisation of Humanities Inquiry.
All these learning journeys incorporate specially designed and structured activities that provide students with opportunities to gain first-hand experience of the real world through interactions with the people and places. Collaborative assignments and thought-provoking activities that hone 21st Century Competencies (21CC) and Humanities Inquiry Skills were carefully weaved into these learning journeys. Through such experiential learning activities, students gained further insights into specific topics and concepts learnt in the classroom. Learning becomes an enjoyable activity when students actively participate in these fieldtrips and, in so doing, the Humanities subjects come “alive”.
